Muski-fit Push-up Check-in
Fellow 'skies,
Look at all those hyphen-ated words in the title. That sure let's me know this post is important. I thought it would be good to check up on everyone's progress towards the 100 push-ups goal. I have had one injury reported to me so far. Let's remember that a safe 'skie is a happy 'skie. Also, a strong 'skie is a safe 'skie because nobody will mess with you, and if they do you can just beat them up.

Lewis Borgnine reporting in:
I hadn't posted anything to the push-up logger until yesterday, but have since done so (under lewisborgnine).
Sadly, an unforeseen illness caused me to start a little late, so I've only just finished week two and will be taking my next exhaustion test. I'm hoping for at least a two-fold increase in push-ups, if not more.
My new-and-improved muski-muscles have already come in handy: I was able to open a jar that no one else in my house could pry open and 'made short work of' taking down tables and chairs at a recent ward activity.
This is a little off the subject... but, Borgnine, I'm way jealous of your Fighting Muskie icon. That's a nice 'n!
As for Muskie-fit... I will be starting week four in a few days. I have to say that I'm enjoying this challenge and increased strength. Simple tasks such as making my bed, brushing my teeth, and sheesh, even vacuuming are so much easier!
Yesterday I asked Jef if he would lighten up on the bread production. So, I can actually see some fitness results. He was surprisingly not all that supportive. I guess he likes me plump?
Today I am due for an exhaustion test. I think I'll be doing week four again. Overall, this has been a fun time. A great indoor exercise program for winter.
Just have to give an update - I completed my second exhaustion test and increased my push-ups not two-fold, but two-and-a-half-fold!
I gather that week three is where it gets tough so... here it goes!
I'm approaching week 6 soon. I don't know that I have enough muscle to do 100 all at once yet, but maybe in 2.5 weeks I will! It's cool to think I'm doing around 200 pushups per workout right now. I would have never imagined doing that before this. Like Daniel LaRusso finding confidence through karate I'm finding my own through pushups.
My username is actually jefgroesbeck, not jgroesbeck as I previously wrote. I have also found myself able to open jars not previously accessible with smaller muscles.
I have cut back on bread production as requested by Sarah. I support her health and well-being.
